For you, this is an exciting opportunity to grow your career, make a meaningful impact, and help shape the future of one of Australia's leading copper businesses. About Olympic Dam Olympic Dam is one of Australia's largest integrated underground mining and minerals processing operations, featuring a highly advanced on-site metallurgical processing plant in South Australia. As part of BHP, you'll work at a large and complex site that produces copper, uranium, gold and silver using modern technology and innovative practices. Located approximately 560km north of Adelaide on the traditional lands of the Kokatha, Arabana and Barngarla people, Olympic Dam is a cornerstone asset within BHP's Minerals Australia portfolio, recognised for its scale, innovation and strong focus on safety and performance. With ongoing investment, including more than A$840 million in near-term growth capital, you'll have the opportunity to develop future-ready skills and contribute to meeting the world's growing demand for copper and a more sustainable future. We currently have a vacancy for a Supervisor Facilities Maintenance, reporting to the Superintendent Facilities Management. This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in facilities maintenance, contractor management and operational leadership within a large-scale mining environment. You will contribute to maintenance planning, contract performance, cost management, safety outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives that support the ongoing success of Olympic Dam. Success in this role will come from your ability to build strong relationships, balance competing priorities and work collaboratively across a broad range of operational and support teams. In this role, you will: • Coordinate daily facilities maintenance activities to support safe, reliable and efficient site operations. • Monitor contractor performance to ensure maintenance work is appropriately prioritised and delivered to agreed standards. • Coordinate facilities maintenance and property-related projects across the Olympic Dam portfolio. • Lead field leadership activities, support risk assessments, facilitate investigations and ensure timely close-out of actions. • Manage cost control activities including purchase orders, accruals, budget monitoring and reporting. • Monitor service KPIs, identify non-conformances and support contract performance improvement opportunities. • Build strong working relationships across logistics, transport, village operations, contracts, projects and shutdown teams. • Coach, mentor and support the development of team members and contracting partners. • Manage customer enquiries, feedback and service-related issues to support positive outcomes. • Provide guidance and support to contractors to ensure HSE systems and performance align with Olympic Dam requirements. What You'll Bring to the Role You are an experienced maintenance, facilities or contractor management professional who enjoys solving problems, building strong working relationships and driving safe operational outcomes. To be successful in this role, you will bring: • Experience in facilities maintenance, property maintenance, contractor management and/or supervisory roles within mining, industrial, infrastructure or facilities environments. • Demonstrated safety leadership and the ability to influence positive HSEC behaviours and outcomes. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and support continuous improvement initiatives. • The ability to build effective relationships and communicate confidently with contractors, customers and internal stakeholders. • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications and enterprise systems such as SAP or similar maintenance management platforms. • A valid manual driver's licence. • Qualifications in maintenance, project management, engineering, building supervision or a relevant trade discipline will be highly regarded. We also value transferable operational experience and demonstrated capability.
