We are currently looking for a dedicated Class 1 Driver to join our team at Cat Rentals in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Job Description: • Provide exceptional customer service in a professional and courteous manner while maintaining a positive company image. • Safely transport rental equipment to and from customer locations, branch locations, and job sites. • Operate Class 1 commercial vehicles, including truck and trailer combinations, in accordance with all applicable regulations and company policies. • Load, unload, inspect, and secure equipment for transportation using proper load securement procedures. • Complete required pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections. • Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and transportation documentation. • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, provincial transportation regulations, and company procedures. • Communicate effectively with customers, dispatch, and branch personnel regarding deliveries and pickups. • Perform general yard and branch duties as required. • Assist with equipment inspections and preparation for rental readiness. Qualifications: • Valid Alberta Class 1 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract. • Experience operating tractor-trailer combinations and transporting construction or heavy equipment. • Strong understanding of transportation regulations and load securement requirements. • Ability to safely load, unload, and secure a variety of equipment. • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety. • Strong customer service and communication skills. • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and electronic operating systems. • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment. Important Information: • This position is based in Calgary, AB on a 5x2 Shift. (Monday to Friday) • Hours and shift schedule may be subject to change to meet customer and/or Finning (Canada) requirements. Please note that any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the current Collective Agreement Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
