We are hiring multiple Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics for work that primarily involves engine diagnostics, repairs and overhauls on a wide variety of Caterpillar engine platforms. Please note that any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the current Collective Agreement** Qualifications & Experience: • Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification • Minimum 2 years experience working on 3500 series engines • Previous Gas Engine and Power Generation experience would be considered an asset • Dedication to safety • Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems experience • Transmission or Hydraulic testing experience • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal Important Details: • This position is located in shop in Edmonton on a Monday-Friday shift but will switch to a 7x7 continuous shift • Candidate selection will be in compliance with the Terms & Conditions of the current Collective Agreement Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
