You will oversee a team of parts technicians and customers within Red Deer. You will drive performance improvements, supervise a diverse team across several product lines, and foster strong stakeholder relationships. If you’re a proactive leader with strong technical and organizational skills, this is a role for you! Job Description: • Provide clear leadership and direction to the Red Deer team, fostering a positive, engaged, and performance-driven culture. • Drive collaboration between Caterpillar, Finning business units, and supply chain partners to achieve measurable results aligned with the EMP strategy. • Coach and mentor parts staff, promoting accountability and ownership while developing succession plans and growth opportunities. • Set clear goals and expectations for team members, monitor performance, and provide timely feedback through formal and informal conversations. • Conduct Employee Opinion Surveys and implement action plans to improve engagement and team effectiveness. • Build and maintain strong relationships with Caterpillar stakeholders, vendors, and branches to ensure alignment on parts supply chain objectives. • Manage supplier performance across cost, quality, and service dimensions, focusing on inventory optimization • Oversee high-volume and critical parts availability, reducing expediting costs and downtime through proactive planning and process improvements. • Assess and recommend tools, technologies, and solutions to enhance EMP parts processes and operational efficiency. • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and operational procedures while driving continuous improvement initiatives. Day-to-Day Activities: • Monitor parts customer service levels and empowering the parts team to drive performance to meet customer requirements. • Conduct regular team meetings to review KPIs and operational priorities. • Address performance gaps and implement corrective actions promptly. • Collaborate with branches and customers to resolve parts-related issues and improve service delivery. Requirements: • Journeyman Parts Ticket is an asset. • Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience. • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills. • Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. • Proven financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and cost controls. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. • Familiarity with Lawson M3 and parts network systems is an asset. • Understanding of labor relations, grievance resolution, and performance management processes. Important: • This position is a permanent, full-time role based out of Red Deer • Monday – Friday, 5x2 schedule.
