The Pump Assembly Technician - HPS assembles a variety of horizontal pump components and sub‑assemblies. The role requires interpreting engineering drawings, following strict quality standards, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure timely delivery of high‑performance pump systems. • Interpret and follow engineering drawings, schematics, and work orders for pump assemblies. • Assemble, fit, and align pump components using hand and power tools. • Perform mechanical testing, torque checks, and functional verification of completed assemblies. • Identify and resolve assembly issues, reporting non‑conformances to supervisors. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards. • Document assembly steps, test results, and any deviations in the production log. • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance assembly efficiency. • Coordinate with material handlers to ensure required parts are available. • Participate in routine equipment maintenance and calibration activities. • Provide training and mentorship to junior assemblers as needed. • Minimum 2 years of experience assembling horizontal pump systems. • High school diploma or GED; technical certification preferred. • Proficiency reading mechanical drawings and schematics. • Hands‑on experience with torque wrenches, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring instruments. • Basic understanding of hydraulic and mechanical principles. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. • Good communication skills and ability to follow safety protocols. • Flexibility to work overtime or shift changes as production demands.
