Employer description

The inspector must support all the activities assigned to the quality department of the facility as well as provide reports to applicable management. • Responsible for yard compliance to NOV policies and procedures such as, but not limited to HSE and HR • Responsible for yard compliance with the Tuboscope Threading Quality Manual requirements • Part inspection and auditing of operator inspections per applicable quality system, licensing agency, or customer requirements. • Complete inspection reports. • Audit operators' first article and inspection reports. • Complete understanding of the inspection program. • Complete non-conformance reports and communicate status to applicable management. • Aid with and audit facility production paperwork as required. • Be able to perform document reviews at pre-production and for product release per applicable standard operating procedures and work instructions. • Be able to review Tuboscope GOLD system for correct entry and perform product release • Be able to use Grant Prideco Licensee system for gage assignment and job authorizations. • Must pass and maintain code 70 inspection certification. • Be able to perform all of the inspection and non-conformance reporting requirements listed in standard operating procedures. • In process audits/First part inspections. • Manufacturing inspections. • Receiving inspections. • Be able to perform the testing, quarterly monitoring, and evaluation of phosphated product per the applicable standard operating procedures and any customer specifications. • Must pass and maintain a code 96 certification for review of calibration certificates. • Be able to perform and coordinate shipping and receiving of various gages and inspection tools. • Be able to gather and enter metrics information into local and corporate systems. • Be able to complete, store, and send certificates of conformance and quality documentation packets to customers. • Be able to authorize, inspect, and ship Grant Prideco qualifying connections per appliable requirements. • Be familiar with Grant Prideco HLAPs. • High School Diploma or Equivalent • Previous experience with mechanical inspection preferred but not required. • Ability to solve basic math equations. • Must be able to learn and operate mechanical testing equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and scales. • Blueprint reading skills are preferred but not required. • Maintain code 70 certification. • Manage ordering and customer authorizations for proprietary items. • Able to perform acceptance inspection on material purchased by the facility.
