The R&D Project Engineer is a keystone position within NOV's technology center, responsible for conceiving, designing, and delivering next‑generation Intervention and Stimulation solutions. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of seasoned engineers, you will translate market needs into robust, high‑performance hardware and software, ensuring that NOV remains at the forefront of energy‑sector technology. This role blends hands‑on prototyping, systems engineering, and project management to create value‑adding, reliable products for global customers. • Define technical requirements and specifications for new Intervention and Stimulation equipment. • Lead concept development, feasibility studies, and design reviews with cross‑functional teams. • Create detailed CAD models, simulations, and prototype hardware for validation. • Coordinate testing plans, execute performance trials, and analyze results to refine designs. • Manage project schedules, budgets, and risk assessments to ensure timely delivery. • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and field service groups to transition products to production. • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design reports and patents. • Support field deployments and provide engineering expertise for troubleshooting and upgrades. • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify innovation opportunities. • Present project status, technical findings, and business cases to senior leadership. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Petroleum Engineering. • 3+ years of R&D experience in oilfield equipment, preferably Intervention or Stimulation technologies. • Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and CAE tools (ANSYS, CFD). • Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, pressure systems, and high‑pressure equipment design. • Demonstrated project management skills, including schedule and budget control. • Experience with prototype fabrication, testing, and iterative design cycles. • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and data‑driven decision making. • Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder presentations. • Knowledge of industry standards (API, ISO) and safety regulations. • Ability to travel as needed.
