The Tool Crib Attendant will safely and efficiently handle receiving, identifying, distributing, and picking tools, fixtures, and supplies. This day‑shift role ensures machinists have the right tools and information when needed, maintains accurate computerized inventory records, and upholds NOV’s HSE and quality standards. • Work with tool control records, inventory records and storage facilities. • Operate sharpening and grinding equipment. • Keep accurate records for our computerized inventory system. • Keep accurate records on all withdraws and returns of tool crib equipment. • Maintain up to date information on equipment usage and needs for replenishing supplies. • Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels. • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned. • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures. Facility Responsibilities: • Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels. • Process requests for tooling, supplies and fixtures from machine shop personnel and other departments. • Inspect returned tooling to determine condition and disposition: repair, rework, clean and/or return. • Print, review and put work order job packets together. • Receive and transact tooling and equipment returns into the VLM, storage area, or designated stocking locations (e.g., repair, re-use stocking locations). • Receive tooling and supply deliveries within CribMaster inventory management system. • Perform cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy. • Maintain a high degree of organization and cleanliness through deployment of 5S principles. • Update Kit Lists as needed with approval of Shop Lead. • High School diploma or equivalent, required. • Experience in a tool crib or tool maintenance support role. • Proficiency with inventory management software (CribMaster, JDEdwards, etc.). • Strong organizational and administrative skills. • Excellent customer service and communication abilities. • Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities across departments. • Computer skills, including MS Office. • Familiarity with machine shop tooling and gauging equipment (preferred). • Knowledge of 5S principles and implementation. • Ability to lift 40+ lbs, sit/stand/bend, and reach overhead.
