Employer description
The Laboratory Technician handles samples, performs chemical analyses and reports accurate and timely data according to Laboratory Operating Procedures and test methodologies. • Performs applicable testing with proper proficiency training with Supervision • Assists with cleaning laboratory carts, glassware, racks • Maintains cleanliness of laboratory work surfaces • Maintains records of all quality activities as required in Operating Procedures and Test Methods • Homogenizes samples following standard protocols • Maintains and verifies equipment. • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Chemistry or related field required • Commercial laboratories experience an asset WORK SCHEDULE - Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM (flexibility will be provided) Salary: $18.90 per hour Some benefit highlights: • 80% coverage Health, Dental and Vision • Paid time off • RRSP Program Eligibility SGS is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and as such we recruit, hire, train, and promote persons in all job classifications without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression and Indigenous status, or any other characteristics protected by law.
