We also help you save for your future by offering pension programs, and savings plans with company matching • Benefits: utilize an employee assistance program and comprehensive company-paid health, dental, and vision benefits for you and your family to support your mental, physical, and financial well-being • Generous time-off: enjoy generous paid vacation time and personal time-off to recharge and maintain a healthy work-life balance • Talent development programs: Internal mobility, succession planning, and employee training and development programs are just a few ways we’re dedicated to your development Minimum Requirements: • Five years of experience in conventional oil and gas operations, SAGD or heavy oil • Experience operating gas compression and pipelines is preferred • Diploma in Petroleum Engineering Technology, 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate (ABSA certified), or equivalent • A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) • A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record Key Accountabilities: • Follow all operating processes and procedures during operations to ensure the safety of our people, equipment, and the environment • Execute pad operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production, with clear and effective communication during shift handovers • Monitor operating conditions—including levels, pressures, and temperatures—and take timely action to adjust processes during upsets in line with production targets • Perform routine operating tasks such as monitoring levels, pressures, and temperatures • Perform basic troubleshooting, initiate corrective actions, and coordinate repairs as required • Prepare and isolate equipment and systems to support maintenance activities Location and other Key Details: • You will work out of our Firebag location, which is our largest In Situ operation and one of the largest in the world (and located 120 km northeast of Fort McMurray, Alberta) • This is a Fly-in/Fly-out (FIFO) camp-based position; you will FIFO from a Suncor hub location: Calgary/Edmonton, Alberta or Saskatoon, Saskatchewan • The shift schedule is a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation (7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off; 12-hour shifts) • This position is safety sensitive • You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers, with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces Think we are a fit?
