Location: Logan Lake, BC, Canada Employment Type: Regular Full Time Workplace Type: On-site About Highland Valley Copper Highland Valley Copper (HVC) Operations is Canada’s largest open-pit copper mine and molybdenum operation. HVC produces both copper and molybdenum concentrate through autogenous and semi-autogenous grinding and flotation. Located approximately 17 kilometers west of Logan Lake and about 50 kilometers southwest of Kamloops in British Columbia, the surrounding areas of HVC have an abundant offering of outdoor experiences. Reporting to the Integrated Planning & Production Superintendent, the Chief Engineer, Water Resources leads the site-wide water planning function. This includes developing and implementing water strategies, overseeing near, medium, and long-term water forecasting, supporting infrastructure planning, and ensuring monitoring programs support compliance and informed decision-making. The role also provides technical leadership and QA/QC oversight, manages water-related risks, coordinates work across teams, and ensures all work meets professional and operational standards. Pay Range: CAD $138,000 - $170,000 per year The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity. Working Conditions: • Location: Highland Valley Copper is a 50-minute drive from Kamloops, which has all of the comforts of city living and is also close to Merritt, Ashcroft, and Logan Lake, which all exude a small town community atmosphere. • Access: This is a drive-in/drive-out role.
