Employer description

Teck Alaska is recruiting an on-call casual Mine Operator for Red Dog Operations. The role reports to the Mine Shift Supervisor and follows a two-weeks-on/two-weeks-off rotation. Work includes supervised training on 777 haul trucks, moving material between loading and dumping areas, completing timesheets and equipment inspections, following safety and environmental procedures, and communicating task status across shifts. The posting requires a high school diploma or equivalent, safe work practices, teamwork, the ability to follow instructions and work with limited direction, and willingness to work outdoors in extreme conditions. Previous mining or similar experience is preferred rather than stated as mandatory. The operation is fly-in/fly-out and provides accommodation, meals, exercise facilities and other camp amenities. A drug test is part of the hiring process.
