Based in our Thornhill office, you'll join our Building and Transportation Mechanical and Electrical team and contribute to electrical design for transportation and building projects. Working with advanced digital tools and multidisciplinary teams, you'll help deliver safe, efficient, coordinated, and innovative electrical systems while continuing to develop your engineering practice. Your Impact • Design electrical systems for power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarms, and emergency power on transportation and building projects. • Produce accurate AutoCAD drawings and Revit 3D models that communicate coordinated electrical design intent. • Apply the Ontario Building Code, Electrical Safety Authority requirements, and IEEE standards to support safe and compliant solutions. • Collaborate with senior engineers, discipline leads, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve project milestones and quality objectives. • Develop specifications, calculations, and project documentation while supporting effective BIM 360 workflows. • Contribute to design reviews and coordination meetings that identify issues early and strengthen seamless project delivery. The Skills That Set You Apart • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; registration as an Engineer in Training with Professional Engineers Ontario is an asset. • Approximately 2–4 years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings, transportation, healthcare, or light industrial projects. • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit 3D, with familiarity using BIM 360 workflows for coordinated project delivery. • Working knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and practices, including Ontario Building Code and Electrical Safety Authority requirements. • Exposure to utility coordination and working with authorities having jurisdiction on electrical design requirements. • Familiarity with engineering study software for arc flash, load, fault, coordination, lighting, or grounding analysis is an asset.
