Based in St. Catharines, you'll join an established Waste Management and Hydrogeological practice of engineers and geoscientists working across landfill, aggregate, contaminated site, and geological and hydrogeological projects. Through a blend of field investigations, environmental monitoring, data interpretation, and reporting, you'll build practical experience while contributing to responsible environmental solutions. Your Impact • Contribute to environmental monitoring programs at aggregate sites, landfills, contaminated sites, and other project locations. • Deliver groundwater, surface water, combustible gas, and soil sampling and testing using established procedures and quality standards. • Support drilling, test pitting, and other subsurface investigations that help teams understand geological and hydrogeological conditions. • Collaborate with technicians, geoscientists, and engineers to turn reliable field observations into informed project decisions. • Produce organized field records and support the management, analysis, and interpretation of chemical, hydrogeological, and geotechnical data. • Strengthen safe project delivery by following WSP policies, procedures, and site-specific health and safety plans. The Skills That Set You Apart • A bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, geoscience, geological engineering, or a closely related discipline. • Eligibility for registration and active progress toward becoming a Professional Engineer with Professional Engineers Ontario or a Professional Geoscientist with Professional Geoscientists Ontario. • Exposure to environmental, geotechnical, or geo-environmental field work, including groundwater, surface water, or soil sampling, is an asset. • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, construction contracts, regulations, and environmental field data. • Readiness to complete outdoor field assignments and travel to project sites; a valid driver's licence and access to your own reliable vehicle or transportation are required. • Practical troubleshooting, technical writing, and data-analysis skills that support accurate reporting and collaborative project delivery.
