Employer description

Manager, Equipment Operations & Logistics The Opportunity Build a Regional Operation. Create Lasting Impact. WSP Earth and Environment is transforming how specialized field equipment supports project delivery across Ontario and Atlantic Canada. Across our business, equipment availability, logistics, utilization, and lifecycle management play a critical role in enabling our field teams to safely and efficiently deliver work for clients. While successful equipment operations models already exist within WSP, Ontario and Atlantic Canada are entering the next phase of their evolution. As a Manager, Equipment Operations & Logistics, you will lead the development and implementation of a regional equipment operations model that improves visibility, utilization, accountability, and service delivery across a large and geographically diverse business. This is not a traditional equipment management role. You will build upon proven practices already established in WSP E&E's BC & Yukon and Prairies & North operations, adapting and scaling those successful models to meet the needs of Ontario and Atlantic Canada. You will help create the processes, systems, teams, and performance measures needed to support long-term growth while ensuring field teams have reliable access to the equipment they need to deliver projects safely and efficiently. If you are energized by building teams, improving systems, leading change, and creating operational excellence at scale, we'd like to hear from you. Your Impact Lead the implementation and ongoing evolution of a regional equipment operations and logistics model across Ontario and Atlantic Canada Adapt and scale proven equipment operations practices already established within WSP's BC & Yukon and Prairies & North businesses Build consistency across multiple offices, operating environments, and service lines Improve equipment visibility, utilization, availability, and accountability across the region Reduce unnecessary external rental costs through effective asset management and operational planning Develop and maintain standardized processes for equipment booking, logistics, maintenance, calibration, tracking, and lifecycle management Establish performance metrics and reporting that support operational excellence and informed decision-making Build and lead a high-performing team focused on customer service, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement Oversee logistics operations including warehouse activities, transportation, shipping, mobilization, and regional equipment distribution Partner with operational leaders and project teams to drive adoption of standardized practices and improve service delivery Develop business cases and recommendations for equipment investment, replacement, and optimization Contribute to the long-term growth and evolution of a scalable equipment operations platform that supports future business needs The Skills That Set You Apart You may come from equipment operations, fleet management, logistics, warehousing, field services, utilities, construction, manufacturing, telecommunications, supply chain, or another operationally intensive environment. What matters most is your ability to build and lead. You bring: Experience leading operational, logistics, fleet, equipment, warehouse, or asset management functions Demonstrated success building systems, processes, or operating models that improve business performance Experience driving change and establishing consistency across multiple locations or stakeholder groups Strong leadership capability with experience developing teams and creating a culture of accountability and service excellence Knowledge of equipment management, inventory control, logistics operations, asset tracking systems, or related operational disciplines Experience using operational metrics and performance data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across diverse teams and functions Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with practical execution A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for creating scalable, sustainable solutions Strong business acumen and sound operational decision-making skills Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Ontario and Atlantic Canada Why Choose WSP?
